Description
The Chiltepin chilli plants usually grow in the wild and are pollinated by birds. It is thought to be the oldest of all Capsicum annum species. But due to many recent factors these wild chillies are unfortunately rather endangered so help out Mother Nature by growing these little gems that are true delight. The great thing about the Chiltepin is that unlike most other chillies these are pea-sized so they can be eaten as is and added to a number of foods without the fuss of opening and de-seeding (such as sprinkled on ice cream!). The burn is rather surprising but subsides quickly, making it all the more fun.
